Where to Find the Best Deals on Hoka Shoes
Meaning “to fly” in Maori, Hoka was founded in 2009 so that anyone spending long hours on their feet could get the ultimate experience with optimum cushioning and stability. Less than 15 years after its founding, Hoka is bringing in revenues topping a billion dollars a year, so it’s clear that people are loving this brand. But with quality comes high prices, and Hoka is no doubt in the high end price-wise. Thanks to Brad's Deals, we found the best prices on Hoka.
🚨 In a story that proves life can always throw a curveball—or in this case, a very slow-moving ambulance—71-year-old William Hoesch was struck by an ambulance while cycling through Rainier, Oregon. He wasn’t exactly racing; both he and the ambulance were cruising at a leisurely pace of 5 to 10 mph. It’s the classic case of “What’s that in the road? Oh, it’s just me, getting run over by an emergency vehicle!”
After the grand collision, which left Hoesch with a fractured nose and a bike that could now double as a modern art installation, he found himself not just in the hospital but also slapped with a $1,862 bill for the ride to get there. Talk about adding insult to injury!
Now, Hoesch is suing the ambulance company for a staggering $997,000, claiming he deserves $900k for his “pain and suffering”, $47k for medical expenses, and $50k for the cost of his expected future medical bills.
In a world where you can get hit by an ambulance and still owe money, Hoesch’s plight reminds us that sometimes, the only thing more painful than getting run over is the bill that follows.

"You don’t need a title to be a leader." — Chris Pronger
Chris Pronger, one of the fiercest NHL defensemen to ever hit the ice, had a leadership style that went beyond the standard “captain of the team” approach. Sure, he wore the “C” for the St. Louis Blues, Anaheim Ducks, and Philadelphia Flyers, but his true power as a leader wasn’t about holding a title—it was about leading by example.
Pronger believed that you don’t need a fancy label to be a true leader. Leadership, to him, was all about action. His leadership was earned through grit, respect, and a relentless drive to win, not handed down by a title on his jersey.
His philosophy? If you want to lead, inspire those around you through your work ethic and dedication. Influence isn’t about what’s on your jersey; it’s about what’s in your heart and how you show up every day. For Pronger, leadership was earned, not assigned—and that’s the kind of leadership that really leaves a mark.
